enhance belonging and reduce the social isolation of seniors. The pandemic has increased concerns of isolation, but there are still
things we can all do to promote social connections. Whether it is reaching out to help a neighbor or family member, or taking on
a more formal volunteer role, we can safely make a huge difference for people who need a helping hand or conversation.

South Okanagan Loss Society (SOLS): Looking for caring, compassionate volunteers who understand the grief experience and are wanting to support others. OneSky/Seniors Wellness Society: The organization continue to deliver the Safe Seniors, Strong Communities initiative that us assisting seniors who are isolated due to COVID. They are looking for a few more volunteers to join the response team! They have a variety of tasks for community minded individuals… Deliver groceries! Deliver weekly meals! Telephone visits! Wellness checks! Tech support! Snow shoveling! This is an incredibly rewarding volunteer opportunity with flexibility to serve as little or as much as you like. Penticton Seniors Drop in Centre: The centre is open again with COVID safety modifications in place. There are several volunteer opportunities. For example: Crew members who set up and take down a room for activities or events; Social Media Assistant to manage Facebook page and other social media accounts; Secretary to take minutes at monthly board meetings and more.
